Campaigns and reports
Create a campaign record, read the seven detail tabs for a Google or Meta campaign, and produce the printable report you send to the client.
A campaign in Zyan is a record: who it is for, what it should cost, when it runs, and which provider campaign it corresponds to. Once it is synced, the detail page gives you seven tabs of provider data and a printable report you can hand to the client without exporting anything.
Before you start
You need Ad Manager, which is owner-only and needs the Google Ads plan feature. For real numbers to appear, the provider must be connected and synced.
Create a campaign record
Click New Campaign
From the GrowthAd Manager header. The page subtitle is Set up a new paid ad campaign.
Apply a template, if you have one
The template selector sits at the top and fills the form for you.
Campaign Info
Campaign Name is required — the placeholder is e.g., Spring Sale — Meta Conversions. Then Platform, Objective, a description and audience notes.
Client & Project
Search and select the client, then the project it belongs to.
Budget & Schedule
Total Budget ($), Start Date and End Date.
External IDs
External Campaign ID, Ad Account ID (for example act_123456789)
and Platform Dashboard URL.
Recurring Check-ins
A number plus a unit — day(s), week(s), month(s) or quarter(s).
Save, and optionally save as a template
Tick the box and give the template a name to reuse the whole form.

| Platform Dashboard URL | A deep link back to the campaign inside Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager, so the team can jump straight there. | — |

| Save as template | Stores the filled form under a name you supply, for reuse on the next campaign. | Off |
Total Budget here does not change provider spend
It is the budget you agreed with the client, recorded in Zyan. The provider's daily budget is changed through the staged change-set flow, and it is guarded. Filling this field spends nothing and changes nothing at Google or Meta.
The seven detail tabs
Google and Meta campaign detail pages are the same shape, with one tab named differently.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Headline metrics and the trend |
| Notes & Activity | The change log and any notes your team added |
| Ads | The creatives |
| Spend & Budget | Spend breakdown and budget usage |
| Ad Groups (Google) / Ad Sets (Meta) | Performance one level down |
| Demographics | Audience slices |
| Reports | Generating and sending the report |
The active tab is kept in the URL, so a link you paste into a message opens on the tab you were looking at.
Delete Campaign is available from the detail page and asks for confirmation. It removes the Zyan record — it does not delete anything at the provider.
The printable report
Open the campaignReports for a print-friendly page with five sections:
- Campaign Overview
- Spend Breakdown
- Budget Usage
- Performance Trends
- Activity Log
Print it to PDF from the browser and send it, or share the report URL.
Two conventions worth knowing before a client asks
Google stores CTR as a ratio and Zyan converts it to a percentage for display and export; Meta's units are passed through unchanged. Monetary figures keep the ad account's own currency rather than being converted.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A campaign record shows no metrics | It is not linked to a live provider campaign, or nothing has synced | Fill the External Campaign ID and Ad Account ID, then Sync |
| The record exists in Zyan but not at Google | Creating a record does not create a provider campaign | Create it at the provider, then link the IDs |
| Deleting the record did not stop the ads | Delete removes the Zyan record only | Pause or delete the campaign at the provider |
| The report is empty | No synced data in the period | Sync first; check the campaign's flight dates |
| CTR looks a hundred times off | Google's ratio-to-percentage conversion, misread | Zyan already converts Google CTR for display; Meta is unchanged |
| Currency looks wrong | Figures keep the ad account's currency | Expected — no conversion is applied |
| The Meta Ads tab is not there | Meta Ads is not part of the plan | A plan boundary, not a setting |
