Timesheets
Read scheduled against clocked hours for a pay period, correct a single day without touching punches, and know where the figures stop and payroll begins.
Timesheets shows what your team was scheduled for and what they actually clocked, half-month by half-month. It is deliberately a page about hours, not money — amounts live in Payroll behind a separate permission.
Before you start
You need to be an owner or admin, or a team member with the timesheets view permission. Making corrections needs timesheets edit.

Open Timesheets
The page opens on TimesheetsHours.
Pick the period
Use the period navigator to choose the month and which half of it.
Read the tiles
Scheduled, Clocked, Punches and Flagged.
Open a person
Click their row for the day-by-day drill-in.
| Setting | What it changes | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Hours / Schedule | The grid of hours per person per day, or the day-by-day shift list. | Hours |
| Period navigator | Which semi-month pay period the page covers. | — |
| Hidden-from-your-timesheets eye | Brings someone you hid back into your own view. | — |
Reading the colours
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| An em dash | That person has no punches that day. It is not the same as zero |
| Violet, with a note | The day carries a correction |
| Amber, with a flag icon | The day's punches are flagged |
| A leave band | Approved time off |
Hiding someone is only for you
The eye control hides a person from your own timesheets view. It never changes the roster, the shift editor, the punch ledger or payroll, and nobody else's view changes.
Correct a day
Corrections exist because punches should never be edited. A punch is a record of what happened. A correction is a per-day override sitting on top of it, and you can always remove it.
Open the member's drill-in
From the hours grid.
Edit inline
Hover a day row and click the value. Enter or clicking away commits; Escape cancels.
Or use Correct a day
Pick the Day, type the hours, and press Set time.
Or zero it, or undo it
Zero this day forces the day to zero while keeping the punches. Remove override restores the raw punch total.
| Setting | What it changes | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Day | Which day the override applies to. Clamped to the period you are looking at. | — |
| Set time for this day (optional) | Accepts 7:30, 7h 30m or 7.5. Anything else is refused. | — |
| Zero this day | Forces the day to zero hours while leaving the punches untouched. | — |
| Remove override | Deletes the correction and restores the raw punch total. | — |
An adjusted day shows an adjusted chip with an X to restore it. Committing the same value you started with closes without writing anything.
A correction does not reopen an approved pay statement
If the day sits inside a pay statement that has already been approved, that statement keeps its frozen figures. The correction is real, but it has to be synced from Payroll to reach the money.
The Schedule view
The segment at TimesheetsSchedule lists only the days in the period that actually have something on them: each shift as its own row with the member, the note and the time band, plus who is on approved leave. Empty days are omitted, so a half-month period never shows fifteen hollow groups.
New shift appears here when you hold timesheets edit.
Where money lives
Nothing on this page carries an amount. Rates, pay statements and everything financial sit in Payroll, behind its own permission, and a timesheet correction only reaches them once that statement is synced.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Totals do not match what someone worked | A per-day override is in place, or the person is hidden from your view | Open the drill-in and use Remove override, and check the eye control beside the period |
| "Enter hours like 7:30, 7h 30m, or 7.5" | The hours field accepts only those three formats | Re-enter the time in one of them |
| A day shows an em dash rather than 0m | That person has no punches at all that day | Nothing to fix — it is the honest state |
| A correction did not change payroll | The pay statement was already approved and keeps its frozen figures | Sync the statement from Payroll |
| Someone is missing from the grid | You hid them from your own view | Use the eye control to bring them back |
| You cannot correct anything | You have timesheets view but not timesheets edit | Ask an owner to grant it |
