Send posts for client approval
Email a client a private no-login review link for a social post, choose how long it stays valid, and read their decisions in the Approvals queue.
A client can approve a post without a Zyan login. You send them a private link, they see the post as it will appear, and they approve it, request changes or reject it. The decision comes back to Content CenterApprovals.
Before you start
Sending a review link needs edit access on Compose. Seeing the queue needs the Approvals permission, and deciding on a post there needs edit access on it — view-only roles see the queue but cannot approve.
Send a post for review
Pick the variant
Content CenterCompose — open the variant's menu and choose Request client review….
Name the reviewer
Fill the Contact email and name. The link is theirs — anyone holding it can decide, so send it to one person.
Add a note
Optional, and worth using. A line about what changed since last time saves a round trip.
Choose how long the link lasts
24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days or 30 days.
Send email, or copy the link
Send email delivers it for you. Just copy link hands you the URL to paste into a thread you already have with the client.
If the send is not confirmed, do not send again
When Zyan cannot confirm the email went out, the modal says so and tells you not to send another. Use Just copy link and send the link yourself instead — sending twice can leave the client with two links to the same post.
What the reviewer sees
They open the link, see the post preview and your note, and choose Approve, Request changes or Reject. There is no login and no account. The link is the access, which is why the expiry matters: a 30-day link is a 30-day open door to that post's preview.
The Approvals queue
Every decision lands in the Approvals tab, with a preview and the note attached.
Open Approvals
Content CenterApprovals — use Show to filter the list.
Read the post
Review post opens the post itself, so you are deciding on the content rather than a summary.
Attach a note if you need one
Add note saves a note with your next decision. It takes up to 5,000 characters.
Approve or Reject
The row updates with the outcome.

Settings reference
| Setting | What it changes | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Contact email | Who receives the review link. The link works for anyone holding it, so treat it as private. | — |
| Link expiry | How long the review link stays valid: 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days or 30 days. | 7 days |
| Show | Filters the approvals list by status. | All |
| Note (optional) | Saved alongside your next decision, up to 5,000 characters. | — |
A Content changed badge locks the decision
If the post was edited after the approval was raised, the decision buttons are disabled and the row is badged Content changed. That is deliberate: the client approved a different version. Send the post for approval again so the reviewer sees what you would actually publish.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Approve and Reject are disabled with Content changed | The post was edited after the approval was raised | Re-send the post for approval |
| You can view approvals; approving or rejecting needs edit access. | View-only role | Ask the workspace owner for edit access |
| The client says the link no longer works | The expiry window passed | Send a new review link |
| The send could not be confirmed | The email result did not come back | Do not send again — copy the link and send it yourself |
| A decision could not be confirmed | The save result did not come back | Retry that same decision before changing anything else |
| The approval is Execution unknown | The outcome could not be read back | Open the post to see its real state before deciding again |
