Branding your workspace

Set the name, logo, favicon, brand colour and legal links your staff and clients see — and understand where each value actually appears.

Zyan keeps one branding record per workspace. The admin portal, your sign-in page and your clients' portal all read it, so a single pass on SettingsAppearanceBrand changes all three at once. There is no separate client-portal logo to remember.

Before you start

The whole Brand card is owner-only — it is hidden from members entirely. The display preference above it (System / Light / Dark) is personal and everyone sees that.

Set it up

Open the Appearance settings

Go to SettingsAppearance. The Brand card sits below the display preference tiles.

Edit the text rows you want

Workspace name, display name, logo text, logo alt text, and the two legal links.

Click Save

One Save covers all six text rows. It stays greyed out until a row actually differs from what is stored.

Upload a logo and a favicon

These save on upload, not on Save.

Pick a brand colour

Click a swatch, or type a hex value and click Apply. Reset returns you to the platform default.

Save does not cover everything

Logo, favicon and brand colour each save on their own action. If you upload a logo and then leave without touching a text row, the logo is still saved — and if you edit a text row and only upload a logo, the text row is not.

Logo text is the cheap win

If you have no usable logo file yet, set Logo text. It renders a wordmark in place of the missing image everywhere the logo would have gone, which reads far better than a workspace name in the default styling.

Both link fields must start with https://. Anything else is refused on save with "Enter a full link that starts with https." — a bare domain, an http:// link and a relative path all fail.

If you leave a field empty, Zyan falls back to your main site: /privacy-policy for the privacy link and /terms-conditions for the terms link. If there is no main site to fall back to either, the button is hidden in the client portal rather than rendered as a dead link.

Two further cards on SettingsWhite Label dress the client portal specifically. Both are owner-only.

  • Client Portal Appearance — three image slots for background and hero imagery. Slots you leave empty keep the built-in platform imagery, so you can override one and leave the other two alone.
  • Portal links — where the portal's Back to homepage and Contact us links send visitors. Both must be full HTTPS URLs; anything else is dropped. An empty field hides its link.

Branding is not the same as a custom domain

Branding changes what the portal looks like. Serving it on a domain you own is a separate claim on SettingsWhite LabelClient Portal Domain, and it needs the custom-domains plan feature. Entry-level plans see an upgrade notice where the claim form would be. Your admin workspace always stays on the platform address regardless. See Brand the portal and use your own domain.
