ZyanDocs

What Zyan is

The three surfaces that make up Zyan — the admin portal you work in, the Builder, and the portal your clients log in to.

Almost every question about Zyan gets easier once you know which of three surfaces you are looking at.

The admin portal

Where you and your team work. Clients, projects, leads, messages, content, ads, voice agents, the books — everything the agency does happens here. It lives at your platform address, a *.zyan.ai subdomain that never goes away.

The Builder

A development surface for building and maintaining client websites — projects, a workspace with a terminal, a prompt library, scheduled automations, and the SEO Command Center. It needs the builder plan feature and permission, and some of it (long-running work, blog drafting) runs through the desktop app.

The client portal

What your client logs into. A separate app with its own look, its own domain if you want one, and per-client control over which sections appear — projects, files, messages, meetings, analytics, advertising, billing.

Your clients never see the admin portal

The two are different apps on different addresses. A client cannot reach the admin portal even with a link, and you preview their portal from inside yours — see Create a client portal.

Two things decide what you can see

This trips people up constantly, so it is worth learning early:

Plan feature (entitlement)

Whether your plan sells the capability at all. Set by your subscription.

and

Permission

Whether this teammate may see or change it. Set per member.

The feature appears in the sidebar
Both must hold. Either one missing and the item is not there at all.

A permission cannot unlock something your plan does not include, and a plan cannot show a teammate something their permission grid denies. If a feature is missing from the sidebar, check both — permissions live under Teamthe memberPermissions.
