Sales Workspace
Track rep performance, work deals across the pipeline board, and see projected commission — the three tabs of the Sales Workspace and what drives each number.
CRMPipeline opens the Sales Workspace: rep performance, pipeline health and commission projections in one place. It has three tabs — Dashboard, Pipeline and Team — and you only see the ones you are allowed to see.
The commission projection is the reason to keep this tidy. Deals attach real products from your billing catalog, which is what makes a projection worth reading rather than a guess.
Before you start
You need the sales_pipeline plan feature and the sales_dashboard permission. The Pipeline tab additionally needs the sales pipeline permission, and the Team tab needs CRM settings management. Build your Billing Catalog first, or deals have nothing to attach.
Work the pipeline
Open the workspace
CRMPipeline. Old links to the separate sales pipeline and sales team pages redirect here.
Read the Dashboard
Three metric cards: Open pipeline, Won this month and Projected commission.
Create a deal
New deal opens the editor. Attach the catalog products the deal is for — that is what feeds the commission projection.
Move it across the board
On the Pipeline tab, drag a deal between stages. Won and Lost live in the rails below the board.
Review the grid
The deals grid has Open, Won and Lost tabs with counts.
Settings reference
| Setting | What it changes | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | Pipeline | Team | Which workspace view is shown. Pipeline and Team only appear when you may see them. | Dashboard |
| Sales rep | Whose pipeline you are viewing, including an Unassigned bucket. Owner only. | — |
| Open | Won | Lost | Which deals the grid lists. Each tab carries a count. | Open |
| Search deals... | Filters both the grid and the board. | — |
| New deal | Opens the deal editor. Only shown when you may edit the pipeline. | — |
| Open leads | Jumps to the Lead Manager. | — |
Check the Unassigned bucket weekly
Leads pushed into the pipeline without a rep land in Unassigned. They are real deals that nobody owns, and they are the ones that quietly go cold.
How commission projections work
A deal is only as useful as the products on it. When you attach catalog products, the workspace can project what a rep will earn from the deal using the commission percentages on their payroll profile — Monthly % on recurring service revenue, Upfront % on build revenue, and Upsell % on upsells. Those three live under FinancePayrollthe memberPay settings.
Projection is not payment. What a rep is actually paid is decided when the owner builds and approves their statement in Payroll, and the rep sees it under My Pay.
The Activity tab was removed
Old links carrying the activity tab fall back to Dashboard without an error. A bookmark still opens; it opens somewhere else.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The Pipeline or Team tab is missing | You lack the sales pipeline permission, or CRM settings management for Team | The owner grants the missing permission |
| Projected commission reads zero | Deals have no catalog products attached, or the rep has no commission percentages | Attach products in the deal editor, and set the percentages under Finance → Payroll → the member → Pay settings |
| A deal has no owner | It was pushed into the pipeline from a lead without a rep | Open the Unassigned bucket and assign it |
| An old bookmark opens the Dashboard instead of Activity | The Activity tab was removed and old links fall back | Use Dashboard, or the Activity Feed widget on the Command Center |
| New deal is not shown | You may view the pipeline but not edit it | The owner grants edit rights on the pipeline |
| The whole page is missing from the nav | No sales_pipeline plan feature | Ask Zyan to add the feature |
